Matisse Seated Figure oval plate by Gail Altschuler.
Inspired by studies of Matisse created during visits to museums in Paris. The drawings were then translated to ceramic using Mishima inlay technique, etched lines filled with underglaze and cleaned up before adding colourful washes with gold lustre.
