Julie Cohn’s Paper Chain Necklace is crafted from hand forged Bronze. It is 18 inches long. Julie began her career as a bookbinder. Working with paper for fifteen years, it became her preferred method for prototyping. This bronze bracelet is an example of the idea of something impermanent being translated into something permanent.
Julie Cohn finds inspiration in nature, primitive ethnic forms, indigenous crafts and old world processes. Her pieces are about possibilities for layering and stacking to create personal collages that uniquely juxtapose disparate elements with simple elegance.
