Julie Cohn’s Mojave Earrings are in hand fabricated bronze, and feature a gold filled ear wire. They are 1 inch long. These earrings are inspired by the natural decay nature exhibits through weather. Mojave is the name Julie uses to describe torching the surface of the metal. Through this process, Julie is able to get a variety of finishes that have a time worn essence giving the bronze the appearance of ancient gold.
Julie Cohn is continually inspired by primitive crafting techniques, and these techniques have influenced the imperfect form and texture of this design.
