Catherine brings four simple shapes together, three created from patinated steel, their deep black tones contrasting against a semi circle of hammered silver, coated in gold leaf. Links made from 9 karat gold hold the elements together to create the final composition.
Catherine Le Gal’s simple forms are a canvas for her exploration of texture. Surfaces are oxidised, scratched and sanded, creating pieces that appear timeworn.
