Van Gelder’s 18k gold and Ruby earrings are inspired by Indian Jali screens. Created in intricate calligraphic or geometric patterns, light and air can pass through the Jali screens, whilst minimising the other elements. Van Gelder’s earrings feature 5 hexagonal elements jointed together. The exterior metal lines are kept matte, whilst the intricate lattice design is high polished, as if illuminated by sunlight .
