Hibiscus by Kate Scott. This artist grew up with a passion for music, art and dance. Encouraged by her parents who made sure she was never very far away from a box of crayons she steadily became fascinated and inspired by the world of nature, particularly flowers. In 2007, photography began to appear on her radar. The real revelation came one day when she placed a flower on her flatbed scanner and was mesmerised by the quality of light, reminiscent of the old Dutch Masters.
